01/27/10 - Lost Tooth!
Madi with her mom Christine and dad Danny at my house.
Madi has had a loose top front tooth for a while now. This week it really started hurting and was making her not want to eat. She wasn't ready for 'help'. But tonight Christine called to see if I'd be willing to look at it/pull it out...Madi was mostly ready. Sure... It's a little story that I've pulled out all of Joey's and two of Johnny's front baby teeth. They are usually motivated by the Tooth Fairy coming enough to cooperate. And, my Dad gave me good lessons on how to get teeth out;-)
Anyway, they show up and surprise me that 'a' tooth is out. Madi fell leaving their house and knocked one out. But, it wasn't 'the' tooth they wanted the help with. That tooth was still in her mouth.
So, Madi and I went to my bedroom to take a look at the remaining tooth. Understand, she was way more cautious than the boys. She let me touch it...barely holding on...easy to pull out was the assessment. But of course I let her think about it too much and she got nervous. Christine came in, I got my fingers in her mouth, grabbed the tooth, and it was out immediately. It was really ready to come out. So, now we have a happy, smiling, top front toothless kid anxiously awaiting her first visit from the Tooth Fairy. How cool is that?!?
Nothing like a little Tuesday night excitement and joy.
I should note this picture was taken after tooth one was knocked out and before I pulled tooth 2 out. Both teeth gone are here:
