11/15/10 - Golden Creek Tones
This was taken, as nearly always, quite close to where I live. It's part of Little Creek. I was standing up on the bridge/road and took some shots in both directions and liked how this one turned out best. It is HDR processed with a bit of a painterly type filter, and I applied a vignette. Original:
I only got one duty 'page' yesterday, so that was a relief. The kids and I were able to mostly enjoy Yates Mill and then WM. I love this picture of Johnny and Madi:
I forgot my camera when we went to Yates Mill. Warm day, calm wind, peak fall color. I started to get quite upset but had a talk with myself about all that was going right and was good that day. Johnny offered me his camera trying to cheer me up. It's a Nikon Coolpix 4300 that I got at the thrift store for $5. Works just fine albeit a bit slow. So, I was able to capture a few memories.
WM was great fun with Christmas hat shots like this:
The expression on Joey's face is priceless. He really was having fun with the hats, but this was like the 10th one, and Madi was laughing so loud he was thinking he was quite embarrassed.
Anyway, the week is over and back to normal with a big kick in for the holiday season underway now.
Thanks for all the comments this weekend. Much appreciated especially since I wasn't as active as usual.
