11/18/10 - Blazing Star
Just a sweetgum tree leaf showing off it's fall colors. I kindof liked the sideways composition and the extra color in the dof. Taken at Yates Mill on a real quick swing thru yesterday. Most of the down low color on the opposite bank of the mill pond from the mill is gone now. I wanted to retake a view that I took Sunday with Johnny's camera, and after the storm that we had Tuesday night, the leaves on that tree were gone. Picture moments really can be so fleeting. I took this view instead, but I'm not getting good vibes from it:
The hole was just a bit too small, and I'd rather have leaves on the other side than the tree trunk I think. Anyway...
It's the yearly family Santa Paws picture tonight. Always a fun time and the start of the holiday enchantment for the kids. The elves we have are now moving around the house each day, and the boys wake up with anticipation of finding them. Sparkles even left them a note last night with alternating green and red crayon letters:-)
Thanks for your comments on the steps shot...
