05/06/11 - Facing Forward (I have no clue what to call this one...really)
I took nearly 200 daisy pictures yesterday morning in about 15 minutes. This is the same patch of daisies I've taken pictures of for the past 3-4 springs. I just love them! At this point, though, it's becoming a challenge to take something different than I've taken before. I've done dry, wet, AM, PM, noon, cloudy, with ladybugs and butterflies and spiders and from under and on top and across the side and with blue sky...well you get the idea. Yesterday it was very windy, and I was frustrated. Add in occasional cars traveling past me at 55mph (good 20' between me and them), and the daisies weren't very still. I did get quite a few focused shots anyway, but for one series, I had shots like this where the front daisy was straight and focused and the back daisies were moving and blurred just right I thought. I picked the one to share where the background daisies seemed to fill the frame just right.
Without maintaining aspect ratio, I have put this image on a white background in both 8X10 and 4X6. I think it makes a nice card of friendship or get well wishes.
This is filtered, and I removed 2 small white blips across the bottom border. I also removed a few black dots on the daisy itself. It's pretty close to sooc.
Thanks for your comments on the blueberry and whipped cream iris. Blueberries should be pickable here just about now.
