03/23/10 - Flowering Quince
I took this Saturday at the Durham Museum of Life and Science in the parking lot on our way in. There are many yards in my area with large bushes of forsythia and quince flowering side by side...super pretty. I used to have one of these bushes, but mine didn't make it probably due to lack of sun.
I took a picture of Joey's artwork last night and a few pictures of a miniature clock tower on top of a restaurant yesterday, but nothing I wanted to share for a daily. It was cloudy nearly all day yesterday, and I was bummed that conditions weren't better for outdoor flower shots.
So, Joey drew me a picture of a Night Heron at school. I was pretty floored:
Thanks for your comments on the Bradford Pear blossoms. Yesterday morning at the bus stop, it almost looked like we were getting a few snow flurries...white blossoms filled the air.
