11/12/10 - Cows in the Field
This is a spot on NC Hwy. 42, but there's no good way to park near it. You have to park at the fish bait shop and walk along the side of the highway for a ways. The ditch is deep. Sometimes the foliage is too high. I never can decide if I should shoot AM or PM. Sometimes the cows are up close in the water. Sometimes there is water vapor coming off the water. The view is constantly changing, but it's always a good view.
I hadn't taken any shots yesterday and had been reinterested in this spot for a few weeks now due to the autumn color, so I decided to work my way to it again. I do like the result, but I also wish for calmer winds (better tree reflection) and closer cows. I wish I could stop back often, but this spot will continue to be a bit elusive.
Funny thing is, as I was leaving the spot yesterday, a woman was walking toward me. Oh, it's another photographer! I guess she'd been eying the spot for a while and saw me at the fence and decided yesterday was her day too:-)
Thank you all for your comments on my fall sign shot from yesterday:-)
It's Friday! Yippee! But, since I'm on duty (and awake early today because of it), I'll be more excited when it's Monday:-)
