04/01/11 - Pink Beauty
After Johnny's field trip yesterday, I stopped by Broadwell's nursery. I was in the area:-) It's quite out in the country. This place sells to wholesale but does allow the public in to purchase as well. A 7 gallon camellia like this one goes for $15. I didn't buy this particular plant, but I did walk away with one pink and one red with white swirls in it. Ah......... A greenhouse filled with camellias is a wonderful thing.
The field trip was fun. Although 50 and damp with no sun, the heavier rain held off until late afternoon and didn't effect us. The kids enjoyed touching an alligator, meeting a yak, and feeding the donkeys and emu. It was a good but short trip.
The boys track out today, and then we're off for a trip to Great Wolf Lodge. It's a hotel with an indoor waterpark built in. Should be fun!
Thanks for your comments on the swallowtail shot. I love butterflies. I am close to posting another today:-)
