11/11/10 - Leaves Curl, Wind Swirls
I bought this sign a few years ago at K-Mart, and it's been up in my yard every October/November since. It usually sits in a pot of impatiens in a shady spot near my driveway with American Holly for a backdrop, and I've been thinking for some time about using it for a daily but with a different background. We had a gorgeous day yesterday, and I walked over to Madi's house to chat with her mom early afternoon. I just had to feel the warmth of the sun for a few minutes. One of those days where it was warmer outside than in the house! They had this gorgeous 'red' maple in their yard, and I thought it might be just the perfect backdrop and took a few pics.
There's actually a solid black layer over top of this shot at 10% opacity to give some depth to it. It was just too bright. I cropped to 8X10, straightened a tad, and added the frame with OnOne's PhotoFrame.
Thanks for the comments on the camellia/bee shot from yesterday. I do appreciate the time you spend when you stop by to view my daily photo and/or leave a comment.
Hope the weather is nice where you are too...
